Flight of Fury is a 2007 direct-to-video action film directed by Michael Keusch. It is part of a series of Steven Seagal‘s direct-to-video movies following the failure of Half Past Dead, and has the honor of being released after Attack Force. It is also an unofficial and shot-for-shot remake of the 1998 Michael Dudikoff movie Black Thunder.
John Sands (Seagal) is a former USAF pilot turned criminal who is given an assignment in exchange of his freedom: he is to recover a top-secret and upgraded version of the F-117 Nighthawk, the X-77, which was stolen by his trainee, Ratcher (Steve Toussaint), a USAF pilot-turned mercenary working for British terrorist Peter Stone (Vincenzo Nicoli).
Why It Sucks
- Relies too much on inconsistent stock footage, especially in aviation scenes.
- Bad fight scenes that relies too much on stunt doubles, as expected from other Seagal direct-to-video movies.
- Poorly written story.
- Dull and lifeless acting.
- Non-existent special effects.
